McLaren

This car dealership is unique because it incorporates both a Mclaren new vehicle showroom and a pre-owned certified JLR vehicle showroom into one building complex. It will house the first McLaren dealership in Quebec.
It includes an 18,235 sf basement comprising of 23 car showroom open to the public, a storage garage of luxury vehicles, and detailing bays. The ground floor of 14,900 sf includes both McLaren and JLR pre-owned vehicle showroom, vehicle delivery areas for each dealership, sales offices, car parts department, and a service and body shop dedicated to both vehicles. The mezzanine floor includes executive offices, accounting and administrative offices, conference room, lunch room and ancillary spaces to complement the service garage on the ground floor.
One of the biggest challenge of this project was a difficult, tight and irregular site which at times created difficult access and limited space for certain construction phases. In addition, the concept of housing and satisfying two different car dealerships and their design criteria, presented design challenges for both exterior and interior architectural decisions.
This project was completed within approximately 12 months, including all interior finishes and the client’s equipment installation.
