MONTEE GAGNON CENTRE COMMERCIAL

LocationTerrebonne, QC
Area110,000 sq. ft.
Since2014-2015

This commercial center is a phased project straddling Boul. Lapinière in Terrebonne consisting of 11 separate commercial buildings totaling 110,000 sq. ft. adjacent to an IGA food store. The individual commercial buildings range in size from 4,000 sq. ft. to 17,000 sq. ft. accommodating varying retail, service and restaurant units.

GKC worked closely with the City of Terrebonne to develop the master plan for this project. The city rebuilt the boulevard to include bicycle paths, pedestrian walkways, rows of trees and updated street furniture. Many of the individual buildings are aligned along the street to reinforce the street line and provide an urban feel. Small landscape public spaces are included between the buildings and are connected to the city amenities. Cladding materials were chosen to reflect historic masonry construction in Terrebonne, but are used in a modern contemporary design.
