LE 7250 MILE-END

LocationMontreal, QC

8 storeys above grade, mechanical penthouses, and basement parking, “Le 7250 Mile End” building major renovation has brought this neighborhood landmark building from the industrial textile era into the 21st century, and has achieved LEED NC Silver Certification.

The new entrance lobby at the north-east corner of the building, within the former loading dock provides a prominent entry-point to the building from the corner of Mile End and De Castelnau, and provides an urban streetscape.

The architectural design is industrial-chic. The main entrance vestibule and lobby design provide the directional flow for the occupants and visitors inspired by an A-line dress, popular during the 60’s and 70’s as well as being the building’s original vocation and era, whereby the wide main entrance then narrows towards the elevator core.

The project included the removal of all of the building windows and roofing, and replaced with high performance windows, curtain wall on the ground floor and a new high-reflective roofing membrane.

The building re-use is above 99% including the conservation of the existing exterior brick walls, and the entire building structure.
