    The Role

    Reporting to the Director of Interior Design or to a team lead, you will actively take part in the design, technical coordination and delivery of interior design projects of varying complexity. You will contribute to the quality of deliverables while collaborating with internal teams, consultants, suppliers and clients. 

     

    Main Responsibilities 

    • Develop and translate design concepts into technical drawings and deliverables. 
    • Produce and coordinate drawings, details, elevations and finish schedules. 
    • Participate in the selection of materials, finishes and furniture. 
    • Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders. 
    • Contribute to meeting deadlines and quality standards. 
    • Participate in project meetings and maintain proactive communication with the team.

    The Role


    Reporting to a Project Director, you will play a key role in the technical development, coordination, and production of medium to high complexity architectural projects. You will ensure deliverable quality, schedule adherence, and smooth collaboration among all stakeholders.
     

    Main Responsibilities

    • Produce plans, details, and technical specifications that comply with current standards and internal guidelines.
    • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and other stakeholders.
    • Manage and track material selections and technical solutions in collaboration with the Project Director.
    • Identify technical issues, anticipate risks, and propose appropriate solutions.
    • Contribute to meeting budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

     
    Profile 

    • DEC in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
    • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in an architecture firm.
    • Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

You will act as a technical reference within the team, contribute to innovative solutions, and support the professional development of technologists.

  • Interior Design - Team Lead

    As part of our continued growth in Montréal, we are seeking an Interior Design Team Lead to join our leadership team, contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects, and support the development of our designers.

     

    The Role


    Reporting to the Associate Director of Interior Design, the Interior Design Team Lead is responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing interior design activities on projects of varying complexity. This role ensures design excellence, adherence to schedules, and compliance with GKC standards, while fostering collaboration and professional development within the team.


    You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, in collaboration with the Director of Interior Design, and actively mentor intermediate and junior designers.


     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, develop, and coordinate interior design projects in collaboration with Project Managers.
    • Act as the primary client contact, jointly with the Director of Interior Design.
    • Supervise the production of drawings, details, finish schedules, and presentations prepared by junior and intermediate designers.
    • Plan and manage weekly task assignments for one or more members of the design team.
    • Ensure effective coordination with consultants, contractors, and clients.
    • Ensure all deliverables meet GKC’s internal standards and quality requirements.
    • Identify project risks and unforeseen issues and propose timely, effective solutions.
    • Support the Director of Interior Design in evaluating project profitability.
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development support to designers.
    • Conduct site follow-ups and contribute to construction administration under the Project Coordinator's support.
       


    Profile Sought

    • DEC in Interior Design or a relevant university degree in design, architecture, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the industry, including project management and team supervision.
    • Advanced proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite; knowledge of Lumion is considered an asset.
    • Strong experience in construction administration.
    • In-depth knowledge of materials, applicable standards, and building codes.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and anticipate technical risks.
